DRAPE NEHRU SHIRT

The draped Nehru shirt was crafted on the Le Corbusier architectural philosophy and applied to clothing in the most direct manner possible. He emphasized the implementation of grids of columns to replace long bearing walls in order to maximize floor space. With the draped nehru dress, we eliminated side seams and constructed the back of the garment as a beam from which other grids flow creating a voluminous drape on the front; all made possible from one long piece of fabric wrapped around the body frame.
